Peacock, Piper, Tong + Voss is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its practice and coverage throughout the state of California. Juliette McCullough joined Peacock Piper in October 2020. Juliette joins Chris Tribolet in Peacock Piper’s Northern California office. Together, Juliette and Chris bring considerable experience responding to maritime casualties and providing top-notch litigation assistance to a myriad of commercial clients.
Juliette McCullough: Juliette is admitted to practice law in California and Hawaii. With nine years of experience in private practice, her work includes litigation, corporate transactions, and casualty response. In her maritime practice she represents and advises operators and owners of the ocean shipping industry, ferries, tugs, and passenger vessels, she also regularly advises charter yacht and sailing companies. Additionally, Juliette has represented energy companies, financial institutions, and other companies in relation to a variety of business disputes and tort related claims. Juliette earned her law degree from U.C. Hastings College of the Law, graduating cum laude. She graduated from Wellesley College, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Environmental Studies.
She is the Chair-Elect for the American Bar Association’s Admiralty and Maritime Law Committee. Juliette is honored to serve on the Board of Directors for Sea Sisters, Inc., a non-profit promoting the recruitment and retention of women in the maritime industry and as the Secretary for the Board of Directors at Call of the Sea, a non-profit youth education and sailing organization based in Sausalito, California.
Chris Tribolet: Chris was admitted to practice in California in 2006. Prior to entering private practice, Chris served in the United States Coast Guard at sea as a deck watch officer and at land as a commercial vessel inspector, a maritime casualty investigator, pollution response officer, as well as representing the Coast Guard in merchant mariner license “suspension and revocation” actions. Chris served as a duty attorney for operational, marine safety, and pollution matters. Chris’s practice primarily focuses on maritime regulatory compliance, casualty response, environmental law and litigation. His insights and experience with the USCG have proved invaluable in regulatory matters.
