Samantha is a partner at Peacock Piper Tong + Voss in Long Beach and has been with the firm since shortly after its formation in 2018. Samantha’s practice includes a broad range of civil litigation in both state and federal court and before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Her practice focuses primarily on general business litigation and maritime matters. She also has significant experience handling transactional work for various corporate clients and obtaining liquor licenses for international cruise lines. She has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star” every year from 2019 through 2024. She is a current member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA).
Samantha graduated with honors from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was an executive editor of the San Diego Law Review. Samantha also served as a judicial extern for Justice McDonald of the Court of Appeal (Fourth Appellate District) and the Honorable William McCurine of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Samantha lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband, son, and dog. Her favorite activities are cooking, skiing, and spending time with her family and friends.

In her maritime practice, Samantha represents insurers, shipowners, ocean carriers, and terminal operators in relation to personal injury matters and commercial disputes, as well as complex contract negotiations. She has also conducted maritime casualty investigations in the Port of Long Beach and Port of Los Angeles.
Samantha defends banks and financial services firms, including securities brokers and investment bankers, in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligence, unsuitability, and violation of federal and state securities and customer protection laws. Samantha has also successfully represented financial services firms in complex regulatory investigations.
Samantha defends employers in judicial, arbitration, and administrative proceedings involving claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, constructive discharge, defamation, breach of contract, and other related claims. Samantha also advises clients on matters regarding compliance with employment laws and personnel issues.
Samantha also has extensive experience representing mortgage banking clients in the defense of claims involving individual lending transactions.
Samantha regularly represents clients in corporate and real estate transactional matters and provides general corporate counseling to a number of clients regarding commercial transactions and other corporate matters. Samantha also has experience advising corporate clients on trademark issues relating to prosecution of trademark applications and potential infringement.
