“I focus on working with clients to evaluate their unique position or circumstances in every way imaginable to craft a strategy for the best possible results.”
Jolene joined Peacock Piper Tong + Voss, LLP in November of 2022. She has been practicing law for over 17 years. Her practice focuses on representing clients in maritime, transportation and logistics, insurance, and construction and engineering industries. She has successfully defended and prosecuted matters in both state and federal courts. Throughout her career, she has consistently achieved excellent results for clients at all levels – pre-litigation, litigation, trial, and appeals.
While in law school, Jolene clerked in the Natural Resources Division of the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, where her work focused on litigation concerning stormwater runoff. After obtaining a Master of Laws in Admiralty, she served as a judicial clerk in the United States Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges in Covington, Louisiana, where she assisted in the adjudication of claims brought under federal labor and employment statutes. She counts herself lucky to have had those opportunities and brings the experience she gained from each to her overall practice of law.
When not working, Jolene enjoys traveling, exploring her new neighborhood, and spending time with her family and friends.

Representing terminal operators, commercial vessel owners, operators, charterers and their insurers has been central to Jolene’s maritime practice since 2005. She has extensive experience handling a wide array of matters ranging from cargo claims, charter party and bill of lading disputes, arrests and attachments, personal injury and death claims, and investigations of serious marine casualties.
Jolene regularly represents clients in a wide array of disputes before all state and federal courts in California and in arbitration. Her experience extends from pre-litigation negotiation through trial and post-trial proceedings up to and including appeals. Her practice includes business litigation including commercial disputes, complex construction litigation, tort claims, employment litigation, contract disputes, and maritime litigation.
Jolene’s construction and engineering practice focuses on the prosecution and defense of claims for breach of contract, professional negligence, product liability, and negligent misrepresentation. Through litigation and arbitration, she has successfully represented clients in disputes concerning complex and large-scale public and private projects. She knows what to look for in evaluating these cases and how to conduct them in the most cost-efficient way possible.
